Comments

From Ryan : This short was okay, but isn't one of my favorites. The plot that involves two males competing for the same female is all too similar to earlier shorts.

From David Willis : Nothing new here, the same story with Pluto trying to beat Butch and win Dinah's affections, one fun gag when Butch puts the hose pipe into Pluto's mouth and his ears begin to spin around his head like a sprinkler.

From Baruch Weiss : Nothing new in this short, but I did enjoy the scene where Pluto 'kissed' Dinah then carves a heart on a tree!

From Bryce : I love Pluto's Cocker Spaniel girlfriend Dinah in this short and I loved when he saved her from drowning. I think she'll make a lot better girlfriend than that obnoxious Fifi.

From Bryan Hensley : This is a great short to play around Valentine's Day; especially since it's in Mickey and Minnie's Sweetheart Stories on VHS and DVD! Some kids at school never realize that love triangles can be serious, such as the one in this short or in Pocahontas 2! If you listen closely in one scene, it sounds like Dinah was properly introducing Pluto and Butch to each other, by name in dog talk! Just as Cupid looks like a baby to people, he looks like a puppy to dogs. (Hence the term, Puppy Love, or the 1933 short by the same name!) I hope you enjoy this now-60-year-old Romantic comedy as well as I do. You should never show cowardice, or a yellow streak, to your girl if she's drowning!
